The Harlem YMCA hotel by Stefan Francis.
Hi everybody!
I'm going to tell you about my trip to the USA and my stay at the YMCA hotel.
First I want to say thank you for the warm welcome that the staff of the hotel gave me.
Monday:
When I arrived at 6.22pm I discovered the hotel. The facade of the hotel looks like the old school from the 90s.
I talked to the receptionist, he was polite and he gave me the key. The rooms was called "ice bear" because the walls were white, the sheets were white and even the roses were white too.
Because there is a 12 hours time difference between France and the USA I went directly to bed to sleep all night.
Tuesday:
I got up early because I wanted to try the spa of the hotel. I read on the net: "the best spa of Harlem". There, I saw the biggest and the largest swimming pool of my life and in my life I've seen some big swimming pools!
The water was hot and the swimming pool was empty, so nice. I think I will stay there all day to enjoy the Turkish bath (or hammam) and the sauna.
Wednesday:
I was so tired! I stayed in bed for 2 hours and looked at all the details of my private room.I saw how beautiful it was.The staff told me: "it's the biggest room of the hotel and the most confortable too" but I think that it's also a room which costs a lot of money for my wallet (lol).
For this room you have to be the most patient man in the world because I have waited for 3 months to book this room, but it's so beautiful!
Thursday:
It was not the best day of my life. I was stuck for 3 hours in the lift because it broke down when I was inside!!!
The staff helped me but... they also gave me a special price (commercial gesture) for this week.
After this problem I went to the city with my friends (I visited Harlem all day).
The weather was the coldest of my trip (4°C in the morning).
Friday:
I wanted to have some information about this hotel because I want to come here again. I was surprised because pets are allowed and the proprietor of the hotel was French. They told me that there was the greatest restaurant in Harlem which is in the south part of the hotel.
I went to this restaurant, I ate a rib of beef. It was served in 5 minutes and the meat was very god. I can say that it's the fattest and the best meat I've ever eaten.
Saturday:
It's time for me to leave the USA and to pay... ($1400 for 5 days). For me, the price is not too expensive for those services.
